"Pursuing the Business of Spirituality; Promoting a Spirituality for Business"

     How often have you heard - TGIF? Our society places a great deal of importance on work but never gives much thought to the spiritual aspect of work. As Catholics we know that we work "by the sweat of our brow" (Genesis 3:19) and we often translate that into work is "bad". Work is not bad and was given to us by God prior to the fall (Genesis 2:15).

     In conjunction with the The DeSales Spirituality Center (of the Oblates of St. Francis DeSales) Faithful Servant can host educational workshops in your place of business. We discuss how embracing spirituality at work is both good for employees and employer. A work environment that is open to spirituality may increase cooperation and increase job satisfaction.

     We use the teachings of Saint Francis De Sales (Salesian Spirituality). While we do not deny who we are (Catholics) the workshops are agreeable and beneficial to people of all denominations. It is hard to resist Salesian advice like:

• "Don't let the past drag you down. Develop short memories"
• "Be a doer, and not a worrier. Don't let boredom reign in life!"
• "Laugh at yourself."

     The "Marketplace Matters" workshop can be taught in a number of different formats. Please contact us for further information.
